Thank you for your interest in our Travel Scholarship. At this time, all of our scholarship funds for 2019 have been awarded. We will begin accepting applications again in January 2020. Please see more information below about our scholarship program and contact us if you have any questions.
After participating in an education-based tour of Europe during high school, Terrapin Tours owner Kelly Cooke realized the cultural, educational, and personal growth one can experience while traveling. The experience shaped her career path and helped her to realize her full potential. Through a new scholarship program, her wish is to share her love of travel and the benefits it can provide with students in New Hampshire.
Terrapin Tours is pleased to offer a scholarship of up to $1,000 to any current New Hampshire high school student with a demonstrated need, to put towards a school-sponsored or educational tour that will enable them to experience the benefits of traveling. Students must also meet academic standards set forth by their school to qualify for this scholarship.
Interested students can contact Terrapin Tours to learn more and obtain a copy of the application. Students must submit a completed application, letter of recommendation from a staff member of their current high school, as well as a one-page essay, detailing their travel plans, why this travel opportunity is so important to them, and if awarded, how the funds would be used. Priority may be given to students based on financial need and/or to students pursuing a career in the travel industry. Scholarships are available on a rolling basis and are distributed at the discretion of the sponsoring organization, Terrapin Tours.
