Travel Protection for Multi-Day Tours
An unexpected injury, illness or event can ruin your travel plans. That is why we highly recommend purchasing Travel Protection Insurance. Terrapin Tours partners with Allianz Travel to offer group Travel Protection Insurance policies on multi-day tours.
Travel Protection can provide coverage for*:
- Trip Cancellation
- Trip Interruption

- Medical Evacuations
- Travel Delays

Please note: While highly recommended, Travel Protection Insurance is not required if traveling with Terrapin Tours. Travelers can also opt to purchase their own plan through a separate vendor. Whether travelers are participating in a Terrapin Tours Group Policy or not, all travelers must opt-in OR decline the offered protection at the time of reservation. ALL TRAVEL PROTECTION PREMIUMS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
Day Tour Cancel for Credit Protection
Day Tour Cancel for Credit Protection program is available for DAY TOURS ONLY (please note, we will continue to offer our group travel protection through Allianz Travel for multi-night tours, see above for more information).
NEW for 2023! Our Day Tour Cancel for Credit Protection program offers a customer credit benefit for cancellation for ANY REASON received 59-2 business days prior to tour departure. No paperwork. No doctor's note. If you purchase the protection, just simply contact our office to cancel and receive your credit!
The Day Tour Cancel for Credit Protection program provides the following customer credit benefit for cancellation for ANY REASON received 59-2 days prior to tour departure:
- Reservation Cancellation from 14-59 Days Prior to Departure: 100% Customer Credit of tour cost/reservation
- Reservation Cancellation from 2-13 Days Prior to Departure: 50% Customer Credit for tour cost/reservation.
- Reservation cancellation received within 48 hours of tour departure: Not eligible for customer credit.
PLEASE NOTE: Cancel for Credit Protection is ONLY available on Day Tours. The non-transferable credit remains on customer account and can be applied to any reservation. Credits do not expire.
Passengers must opt-in and pay the $25 per person NON-REFUNDABLE fee at the time of booking.
